There is nothing like the feeling of being in love. We do all sorts of silly things when the cupid’s arrow strikes. Eating lettuce leaves and lemons for breakfast and spending our entire month’s salary on lingerie or cologne aside, it would appear that our brain slips out the door when love comes in the window.

There are good reasons for this; falling in love brings with it a cocktail of chemicals that play havoc with our brains. This crazy phase of infatuation is obsessive,intrusive and consuming. It causes us to ignore our friends, miss work deadlines and shower our love with expensive gifts. Fortunately it does not last forever and by the second year of the relationship things should have calmed down.
